booklet

Turns a PDF into a print-ready A4 booklet: print double-sided, fold the sheets in the middle and staple, and you have an A5 booklet. Runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Compensation

In a thick booklet the inner pages stick out after folding. Off by default; it only matters past roughly ten sheets.

Printer margin, mm

The red band is the edge most printers cannot reach. It is only drawn here, never in the PDF.

Use “test sheet” first: if its bars measure 100 mm and the pages read in order after folding, the printer is set up right.

Made with pdf-lib (MIT) and pdf.js (Apache 2.0), both included in this file.
